A little about MONA

I currently work  as an Art Director at Tadapix! Animated Marketing - creating explainer videos, ad campaigns, and marketing materials in a wide range of styles.  As a freelancer I have experience in motion graphics, print marketing, and online animated videos for start-up businesses. I graduated Long Beach State with a BFA in Illustration and Animation.

 I'm an active member of Women in Animation and ASIFA-Hollywood, and join the Aquarium of the Pacific for their annual events at which I get to paint on giant canvases with local kids. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching hockey (Go Kings Go!), and joining my husband on photography adventures.

What I can do for you

Motion Graphics

Ability to deliver full motion graphics packages from graphic design and motion concept to final title sequences and lower thirds. Skills focus on 2D motion graphics with understanding in 3D capabilities in After Effects. Experience in online video production for clients such as YouTube, MSN, and various start-ups and small businesses.  

Illustration

I have experience working with traditional and digital formats for a variety of illustration projects, including character designs, comics strips, and organic paintings. I also volunteer regularly at the Aquarium of the Pacific as a mural artist, working with local children to create large acrylic pieces on canvas for the Mural for Miles organization. Traditional mediums include gouache, acrylic, oil, chalk pastel, watercolor, pencil, pen, and paper cuts. 

Character Animation

Specialization in frame-by-frame 2D character animation created either traditionally or in Photoshop, and composited in After Effects. Familiar with ToonBoom and Final Cut Pro. Experience working with either established character designs or consulting with client to create custom designs to suit the needs of the project.
